CINEMA HISTORY: FILM NOIR








Chris Messineo of the NJ Film School will present a program on the great film noir movies of the 1940’s at the Clarence Dillon Public Library on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm.  He will offer fascinating insights and anecdotes about the many film excerpts he shows in this cinema genre.  Chris Messineo is an award- winning writer and director and is the founder of Off Stage Films, an independent production company.  He is also well-known for his knowledgeable and entertaining film history lectures.

BARBARA TOMLINSON ON GUSTAV KLIMT









Art Lecturer Barbara Tomlinson will present a program on Gustav Klimt on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Clarence Dillon Public Library at 2:00 pm.  With her customary aesthetic and cultural insight, she examines the currently wildly popular early 20th century Austrian painter Gustav Klimt.  She will focus on his “Golden Phase”, his younger contemporary Egon Schiele, and the vibrant Vienna culture of the day.
