CINEMA HISTORY: FILM NOIR

Chris Messineo of the NJ Film School will present a program on the great film noir movies of the 1940’s at the Clarence Dillon Public Library on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm.  He will offer fascinating insights and anecdotes about the many film excerpts he shows in this cinema genre.  Chris Messineo is an award- winning writer and director and is the founder of Off Stage Films, an independent production company.  He is also well-known for his knowledgeable and entertaining film history lectures.

BARBARA TOMLINSON ON GUSTAV KLIMT

Art Lecturer Barbara Tomlinson will present a program on Gustav Klimt on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Clarence Dillon Public Library at 2:00 pm.  With her customary aesthetic and cultural insight, she examines the currently wildly popular early 20^th century Austrian painter Gustav Klimt.  She will focus on his “Golden Phase”, his younger contemporary Egon Schiele, and the vibrant Vienna culture of the day.
