Composer Robert Schumann’s passionately romantic life
and music will be presented at the Clarence Dillon Public Library on Sunday,
November 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Sandy Putnam
will examine Schumann’s life with his customary anecdotes and recorded
excerpts. Robert Schumann was a German
composer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest composers of the
Romantic era. The lecture will be
followed by a concert of Schumann’s music by young piano virtuoso Kevin
Zhong. He is a resident of Basking
Ridge, New Jersey and currently attends Delbarton School and has been playing
the piano for ten years.
The program will take place in the
downstairs meeting room of the library.
Admission is free. Registration
